Common questions
Water line FAQs.
How do I know if my home needs repiping?
Key indicators: rusty or discolored water, chronic low pressure, frequent pinhole leaks, and pipes that haven't been replaced since original construction (pre-1985 galvanized or polybutylene).
How long does a whole-home repipe take?
Most Tucson single-family homes are repiped in 1–3 days. Larger homes may take 3–4 days. You'll have full water service restored each evening.
Copper or PEX — which is better?
Both are excellent. Copper is proven for 50+ years and naturally antimicrobial. PEX is more flexible and easier to route through slab-on-grade homes. We'll give you an honest recommendation based on your home.
Will repiping increase my home's value?
Yes, significantly. Old galvanized or poly-B piping is flagged as a defect by buyers and lenders. A completed repipe with permits removes that flag and often returns more than its cost.
Old pipes?
